In The Court Of The Crimson King - King Crimson



Con influencias tan variadas como el jazz, la música clásica, el rock pesado, experimental y psicodélico, King Crimson es una banda pionera del rock progresivo. Su primer disco, In The Court Of The Crimson King, de 1969, es considerado el primer álbum de rock progresivo de la historia. Formado inicialmente por el guitarrista Robert Fripp, el bajista y cantante Greg Lake (que posteriormente formaría el trío progresivo Emerson, Lake and Palmer), el baterista Michael Giles, el multi-instrumentista Ian McDonald y Peter Sinfield, quien escribiría las letras.
